​The original Stove Dog Bakery was founded in 1998 and began with us baking our all-natural, human-grade treats and selling them at Farmers' Markets across Wisconsin.
  
We are now Door County Dog Store, home of the Stove Dog Bakery, and in an historic, retail storefront in beautiful downtown Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin., conveniently located at 230 Michigan Street, a block from the historic Steel Bridge, and a 1/2 block from 3rd Ave. District shopping. We are only a short distance from all things Door County. Our county's breath-taking, natural beauty and abundance of resources attracts a melting pot of people from around the world, in both summer and winter seasons.

As a result of our diverse community, we have taken our customers' ideas and suggestions as to what type of product they desire for their dogs and have evolved into this specialized shop. Therefore, much of the store was inspired by our own customers.

In addition to unique merchandise, including toys, treats, food, apparel, and accessories, you will also find our Self-Service Dog Wash in which we provide everything you need to walk out with a great smelling, clean dog.

We have a deck on premises where we provide a pool just for dogs (weather permitting), benches for owners to relax while the fun ensues, and a watering station for those thirsty pups. Many local pooches must stop in for a sniff when out for their daily walk. Yes, they love our store that much!
